The Connected Therapist Community + Membership combines the power of
connection, experiential learning, and ongoing support to help you create a sustainable, fulfilling therapy business—so you no longer have to navigate the challenges of being a therapist in private practice alone.
Community, accountability, support, resources, and weekly consultation/coaching/mentoring.
Participate in weekly meetings dedicated to community/consultation, experiential learning, growth, and support.
Grow and stay accountable in the personal and professional goals you set for yourself.
There’s so much pressure to act like you’re thriving—like you’ve got this whole therapy practice and life balance figured out… even when you don’t. The reality? Running a practice while also being a whole human—with relationships, responsibilities, and the need for actual rest—is a lot. This community is for you if:
We want you to have a practice that works for you, not one that runs you into the ground. We believe that community is the answer. Having support, connection, and a space to learn and grow with like-minded professionals makes all the difference in building a practice—and a life—that truly works for you.
You may cancel at any time by giving two weeks notice. During that notice period, weekly payments will continue, and services will remain available to you (so we can say goodbye and honor our time with you). Email info@theconnectedtherapist.org to cancel.
We are happy to offer an option for you to make monthly payments instead of paying weekly if that is better for you.
No- you can choose what meetings you want to attend. Of course, the more you attend, the more you will feel connected and the more you will get out of the community.
Your membership includes four meetings per month - two Community Meetings, one Vision Meeting, and one Experiential Skills Meeting.
We currently have openings in our 12-1:30pm CST Friday group. Weekly meetings are designated to learning, consultation, and support are held on Fridays from 12-1:30pm CST on Zoom (four Fridays out of the month).
We cap community groups at 12-15 members (depending on regular attendance) in order to create group safety and make time for authentic connection. If a person chooses to leave the community group, we will add someone from our waitlist to fill that slot.
You may cancel your membership at any time by emailing us at info@theconnectedtherapist.org. If you are on the monthly plan, please inform us two weeks prior to your renewal date to avoid being charged for another month (and so we can say goodbye). If you are on the weekly payment plan, please allow two weeks for processing (you will be charged for those two weeks and can continue to access the membership as we wrap everything up with you).
Jen Alley, LPC-S and Gillian Amaro, LPC-S will facilitate the groups. They each have 15+ years in the field. Jen's background is also in teaching/education. They both have spent time in the non-profit sector (Gillian has also worked in schools as a counselor) and both have private practices. To learn more about their experience and training, scroll to the bottom of the About Us page.
You will get 50% off of your membership for one month if you refer someone and they sign up. You can do this as many times as you'd like.
This membership is for fully licensed therapists and associates. Whether you have a private practice or are wanting to start one, we want to provide you with support and opportunities for learning, business development/support, and consultation.
It is important to know that while Gillian and Jen had schooling in play therapy and sand tray, most of their work and training is not focused on working with young children.
Both Jen and Gillian take personal and professional growth and learning seriously and are involved in their own therapy, continuing education, consultation groups, and trainings. We believe that growth happens in community!
Yes, you will receive CEs for Community Meetings and Experiential Skills meetings (there are 4.5 hours available per month for your membership). However, please note that Gillian and Jen are Licensed Professional Counselors and Supervisors in the state of Texas - you will need to see what requirements you have for your state/licensure.
"The Connected Therapist Membership has been a great investment and such a lovely addition to my work week. The membership is much more than client consultation and has helped me clarify my goals and vision for the future of my practice. I love having a dedicated time for weekly consultation with other therapists and also for accountability."
"Jen and Gillian are professional and compassionate facilitators of the group and provide enough structure for our meetings to be purposeful and impactful. Listening to their thought provoking podcast episodes and coming prepared for our weekly meetings has helped me make the most of my membership and really get my money’s worth!"
"I love the frequency that we meet (once a week), it’s perfect for staying engaged and relationship building. I love how both of you are so mindful of time being shared with different people in the group and your willingness to be experiential with members of the group while also providing educational and practical guidance in consultations. I also LOVE the meditation in the beginning because the themes are delightful and it feels like a really connected and grounded way of starting our time together!"
"I love the support, the felt sense of safety, and the relaxed vibe of the group. It is evident that you all are working hard to create a space for all of us as we learn and grow in different ways."
