The Connected Therapist Community + Membership combines the power of
community and ongoing support to help you create a sustainable, fulfilling career—one
where you don’t have to navigate the challenges of being a therapist in private
practice alone.
Community, accountability, support, resources, and weekly consultation/coaching/mentoring.
Participate in weekly meetings to get feedback on your tough cases, growing and running your practice.
Grow and stay accountable in the personal and professional goals you set for yourself.
There’s so much pressure to act like you’re thriving—like you’ve got this whole therapy practice and life balance figured out… even when you don’t. The reality? Running a practice while also being a whole human—with relationships, responsibilities, and the need for actual rest—is a lot. This community is for you if:
We want you to have a practice that works for you, not one that runs you into the ground. We believe that community is the answer. Having support, connection, and a space to learn and grow with like-minded professionals makes all the difference in building a practice—and a life—that truly works for you.
You may cancel at any time by giving two weeks notice before your renewal date.
You may cancel at any time and will receive a refund for any fully unused months remaining.
No- you can choose what meetings you want to attend. Of course, the more you attend, the more you will feel connected and the more you will get out of the membership. As our community grows and we add additional times, we may have a sign up process.
Your membership includes four meetings per month - two Community Meetings, one Vision Meeting, and one Experiential Skills Meeting.
Currently, our weekly meetings designated to learning, consultation, and support are held on Fridays from 12-1:30pm CST on Zoom (four Fridays out of the month).
We are close to adding another option for Community Meetings - those will be from 9:30-11am CST every other Tuesday (two per month). We will add additional times as we grow- we are committed to keeping the meetings smaller and more intimate.
You may cancel your membership at any time by emailing us at info@theconnectedtherapist.org two weeks prior to your renewal date to avoid being charged for another month (and so we can say goodbye).
Jen Alley, LPC-S and Gillian Amaro, LPC-S will facilitate the groups. They each have 15+ years in the field. Jen's background is also in teaching/education. They both have spent time in the non-profit sector (Gillian has also worked in schools as a counselor) and both have private practices. To learn more about their experience and training, scroll to the bottom of the About Us page.
You will get 50% off of your membership for one month if you refer someone and they sign up. You can do this as many times as you'd like. You also can get a discount if you pay for a year of the Community + Membership instead of choosing to be charged monthly.
This membership is for fully licensed therapists and associates. Whether you have a private practice or are wanting to start one, we want to provide you with support and opportunities for learning, business development/support, and consultation.
It is important to know that while Gillian and Jen had schooling in play therapy and sand tray, most of their work and training is not focused on working with young children.
Both Jen and Gillian take personal and professional growth and learning seriously and are involved in their own therapy, continuing education, consultation groups, and trainings. We believe that growth happens in community!
Yes, you will receive CEs for Community Meetings attended that are designed for support, questions, and consultation (there are three hours available per month for your membership). However, please note that Gillian and Jen are Licensed Professional Counselors and Supervisors in the state of Texas - you will need to see what requirements you have for your state/licensure.
