The Connected Therapist Community combines weekly experiential learning, consultation, business coaching, and clinical education to help you create a sustainable, fulfilling therapy practice—so you no longer have to navigate the challenges of private practice alone. The Community currently meets on Zoom four Fridays/month from 12-1:30pm CST.
Community, accountability, support, resources, and weekly consultation, coaching, and learning.
Participate in weekly meetings dedicated to consultation, clinical skill building, and the business of running a private practice.
Grow and develop as a clinician while staying accountable to the personal and professional goals you set for yourself.
There’s so much pressure to act like you’re thriving, like you’ve got this whole therapy practice and life balance figured out…even when you don’t. The reality? Running a practice while also being a whole human (with relationships, responsibilities, and the need for actual rest) is a lot. The community is for you if…
I want you to have a practice that works for you, not one that runs you into the ground. I believe that community is the answer. Having support, connection, and a space to learn and grow with like-minded professionals makes all the difference in building a practice—and a life—that truly works for you.
You may cancel at any time by giving two weeks notice. During that notice period, weekly payments will continue, and services will remain available to you (so we can say goodbye and honor our time with you). Email info@theconnectedtherapist.org to cancel. Visit the FAQ section to learn more about our rebalancing access structure.
No- you can choose what meetings you want to attend. Of course, the more you attend, the more you will feel connected and the more you will get out of the community.
Your membership includes four meetings per month - two Community Meetings, one Clinical Skills Meeting, and one Private Practice Meeting.
Meetings are held on Fridays from 12-1:30pm CST on Zoom (four Fridays out of the month).
You may cancel your monthly membership at any time by emailing us at info@theconnectedtherapist.org. If you are on the monthly plan, please inform us two weeks prior to your renewal date to avoid being charged for another month (and so we can say goodbye).
Jen Alley, LPC-S will facilitate the groups. She has 15+ years in the field. Jen worked in the non-profit world before transitioning into private practice. Jen's background is also in teaching/education.
You will get 50% off of your membership for one month if you refer someone and they sign up. You can do this as many times as you'd like.
This membership is for both licensed therapists and associates. Whether you have a private practice or are wanting to start one, we want to provide you with support and opportunities for learning, business development/support, and consultation.
It is important to know that while Gillian and Jen had schooling in play therapy and sand tray, most of their work and training is not focused on working with young children.
Both Jen and Gillian take personal and professional growth and learning seriously and are involved in their own therapy, continuing education, consultation groups, and trainings. We believe that growth happens in community!
Yes, you will receive CEs for Community Meetings and Clinical Skills meetings (there are 4 hours of CEs available per month for your membership). Meetings must be attended live to receive CEs. However, please note that Gillian and Jen are Licensed Professional Counselors and Supervisors in the state of Texas - you will need to see what requirements you have for your state/licensure.
The Community meets four times per month and includes two consultation groups as well as a meeting dedicated to business coaching/practice and professional growth, and another meeting for clinical skills. It is more wrap-around care for therapists in private practice. We haven't identified the cap yet for the membership but are aiming for 15 members and will then reassess. We definitely want it to feel small enough to stay intimate, vulnerable and valuable.
The consultation group is time limited (it runs approximately every other Friday from September to May and then you have the option to sign up again for the next year). The focus for the consultation group is clinical in nature - we can address business questions but the main goal is experiential learning and consultation. It is smaller with only eight members. Both offer continuing education credits.
Yes.
We believe in creating a sustainable and inclusive space—one where access isn’t determined by a single price point. That’s why we use a rebalancing access structure, allowing you to choose the monthly rate that best reflects your current financial situation.
Our standard rate is $127/month, which sustains the ongoing work of this community.
Choose the tier that feels right for you:
Choosing this rate supports the full scope of the community: the time, energy, and care that goes into running groups, curating resources, and sustaining this space for all.
A slightly reduced rate for those who are navigating tighter finances or slower seasons. You still receive the same level of access and support—just with a bit more flexibility. (Use code SUPPORTED)
For those who are experiencing financial strain or who need consistent care at a more accessible rate. We trust you to choose this tier if it helps make continued participation possible. (Use Code COMMUNITY)
No matter which tier you choose, you receive the same access, support, and connection.
"The Connected Therapist Membership has been a great investment and such a lovely addition to my work week. The membership is much more than client consultation and has helped me clarify my goals and vision for the future of my practice. I love having a dedicated time for weekly consultation with other therapists and also for accountability."
"Jen and Gillian are professional and compassionate facilitators of the group and provide enough structure for our meetings to be purposeful and impactful. Listening to their thought provoking podcast episodes and coming prepared for our weekly meetings has helped me make the most of my membership and really get my money’s worth!"
"I love the frequency that we meet (once a week), it’s perfect for staying engaged and relationship building. I love how both of you are so mindful of time being shared with different people in the group and your willingness to be experiential with members of the group while also providing educational and practical guidance in consultations. I also LOVE the meditation in the beginning because the themes are delightful and it feels like a really connected and grounded way of starting our time together!"
"I love the support, the felt sense of safety, and the relaxed vibe of the group. It is evident that you all are working hard to create a space for all of us as we learn and grow in different ways."
